Accessing LIN UDS Device behind Gateway

Post by Just4242 » Wed 20. Sep 2023, 01:42

Dear Sirs,

I am trying to use the Peak UDS driver to talk to a UDS LIN device behind a CAN-LIN bridge and I am confused on how to configure the PC driver. The LIN UDS ISO_15765 packet will have a NAD address as the first byte followed by the PCI in every 8-byte packet which is different than a standard CAN ISO_15765. What do I need to do to enable this version of the CAN-TP packet? Is this a ISO-TP layer configuration option of a UDS level configuration option? Do I change the config.nai.target_type and config.nai.target_address values? Any suggestions on where to look would be appreciated.

You post in the CAN UDS API Forum part. Means directly connected UDS CAN Devices to a CAN port and use our Windows UDS API.
If you use a LIN / CAN Bridge we could not help you (we do not know how the Bridge work, if you configure it correct etc.)
So please contact the CAN LIN Bridge manufacturer and ask them. If you use a PEAK-System CAN/LIN Bridge, please send your request to our support team by e-mail.
Please include a picture of the used CAN and LIN Hardware
