Error sending messages

Post by financecajole » Thu 3. Oct 2024, 05:00

Hi i'm a new member

My CAN system works really well, and occasionally there are no errors at all, but other times there may be errors within a few minutes. Though my CAN stops sending messages and gives me a retry error (firmware retry), PCAN is not displaying any errors. Additionally, it is noted that when the listen-only mode is turned off, the error rate increases (ack error). For what reason is that the case? What is wrong with PCAN participating in the network?

Looks like the Bitrate does not fit 100% or a missing termination etc.
Please check the CAN Basics first. You also could use the PCAN-View Tracer and switch on the logging of Error and Status Frames to see what exact happened on the Bus.
