Using PCAN-Basic with PCAN-USB FD

Hello,

I have a question with regard to using PCAN-Basic with PCAN-USB FD.

In order to use CAN FD functionality, I'll need to initialise the module with function CAN_InitializeFD. However if I only need basic CAN functionality, can I use CAN_Initialize instead?
