J1939 Messages with same PGN and different Source

Post by tiagodarock » Wed 17. Jul 2013, 19:34

Hello,

I need to simulate 2 different components. These components are linked to the same J1939 CAN bus, and the messages ID are:
Component 1 : 0x18FF03CA
Component 2 : 0x18FF03EC
(With the same PGN, but different source).

I created these symbols on the library, and then I put it on PCAN Explorer 5 in Transmit messages. The problem is that they appear with different CAN-ID but with the same Symbol and Data. So I cannot use the symbol/variables created.

There is a way to solve this problem, and be able to have 2 different symbols with the same PGN and different sources, on transmit messages of PCAN explorer 5?

Thank you for your help,
Tiago da Rocha

As i wrote today via E-Mail to you , we are working on a solution to seperate the signalbased information, depending on the source address. Soon as we have any more information , we will also post it in this thread.
