PLIN-API with .Net

Post by sara736 » Fri 24. Oct 2014, 09:14

I'm using the pcan USB pro device for a project which involves LIN and CAN. I'd like to use Labview to send LIN messages via the .net but I'm getting an error. Can anyone confirm whether the PLin API was built to work with .net? Has anyone got this working with Labview?

Dear,
First, you post in the wrong Thread - or do you want to use JAVA? You had to create a new Thread.
Second, you mix .Net and Labview
You could use our PLIN-API Interface (DLL) with .Net - no Problem see sample code in the API package
If you want to use Labview with LIN, you need to build your own Labview LIN vi - we do not offer such an Software Interface, but if you have advances knowledge in Labview vi development, you could build it by your own.

Your post have to less information to answer in more detail, but here are the answers in short version
  • Can anyone confirm whether the PLin API was built to work with .net?
Yes
  • Has anyone got this working with Labview?
PEAK offer no vi for the PLIN API - but in principal it will work if you know how to do
