PCAN Micromod Configuration for Analog 1

Hello,

I am currently using a PCAN-Micromod Analag 1. I just want to use this device for reading CAN messages. The problem is the software PCAN Micromod Configuration doesn't detect my module.

Furthermore I have one more question about the voltage of the analag output. Is it possible to set the voltage to 5V with this software?

Thank you for your help, I have been tried everything possible but my PCAN micromod Analog 1 is not detected yet.

Hi,

which CAN hardware do you use? Did you use MicroModConfig V2.x?

When you set the output to 50% of your full range, the output will be at 5V.

Yes I am using the MicroMod Configuration V2.x.
I don't think this is an hardware problem because I check every pins of the micromod analog 1 and everything is working.

About the output. Where can I modify this value? In the PWM services?

Hi,

I need to know which PC CAN hardware you are using? Do you have a terminated CAN cable between your PCAN PC hardware and MicroMod Analog1. Did you configure the hardware in MicroMod Config?

I am using a PCAN-USB between my computer and my Micromod analog 1.

I am trying to configure the micromod Analog 1 with the software but when I want to send the configuration ==> No Modules Detected.

In tab configuration > Option > hardware I can see two PCAN-USB hardware. I don't know why I have two of them. I just plug one PCAN-USB.

please post a screenshot of the hardware dialog with your 2 entries, or maybe it will be better to contact us by email or phone to solve your problem. For me it looks like a driver/USB3 problem on your system. Maybe you should check your chipset drivers when using an USB3 hostcontroller, see:

Do you see a busheavy error in the status bar of MicroMod Config? Did you check your CAN cables for termination resistors?

Hi, sorry for the late reply and thank you for your help.

Yes I check my CAN cables and everything is fine. (with 120ohms resistors)
Indeed I get a busheavy error.

With PCAN View:
•Without connecting the module micromod analog, but connecting the PCAN-USB
==> I send a message, the message has been sent and I got after that the error of BUSLIGHT and another error after BUSLIGHT which is BUSHEAVY.
•When I connect the module micromod analog
==> I got the error BUSOFF, and another one which is BUSHEAVY BUSOFF

For the USB port, my computer doesn't have any 3.0 USB port. So I don't think that is the problem...

Hi,

check your CAN cable again, looks like you mixed up CAN-L and CAN-H.

Edit: I checked my CAN H and my CAN L, I didn't mixed them up... Everything is good with my CAN cables

I will start over again from the beginning and I will come back to you if my problem has not been solved...

Edit Solved: I change my cable and it was a problem of resistors, indeed I didn't get 60ohms whereas I had my two resistors of 120ohms. I made it again and it worked properly. Thank you for your help on this problem!
