Error Code: "Tolerate Dominant Bits"

Post by ansche » Wed 12. Aug 2015, 18:23

Hi,

I have a test system (NI-CAN and LabView) with several sensors connected via CAN.
A test sequence that used to work, currently fails due to missing data from a sensor.

Trying to analyze the situation I connected a second PC, PCAN-Explorer and PCAN-USB device to the failing CAN.
There I can see loads of error frames:
___"Typ: Error Daten: Other, Rx, Dominante Bits tolerieren, RxErr=0 TxErr=0"
___in english: Tolerate Dominant Bits

Can someone please explain the possible reasons for this error code ??

For further information about this, see Philips Data Sheet "SJA1000 Stand-alone CAN controller".
Take a deeper look at ERRORCODECAPTURE REGISTER (ECC), bits 0 to 4 (SEG0 to SEG4) -
Current position of the bit stream processor 19: Tolerate Dominant Bits.
