Release/unlock PCAN USB net

Post by mtitoo » Thu 22. Sep 2016, 02:45

Hi,
I am looking for a way to release/unlock PCAN USB net after killing PCAN Explorer from task manager or some other program while the connection is still active. From PCAN Nets Configuration, I can see that even though PCAN Explorer is forcefully closed, the net is still locked (see picture) and I could not find a way to release/unlock the resource. Does anybody know how to resolve this?

Hi,

you can use the PCAN-Status Display, to remove "dead" clients from the PCAN networks (use right mouse click).

Thanks a lot for quick replay. It works perfectly. Is there any way to kill all clients using PCAN Basic API?

Hi,

no, those special "client features" are only available with the API of the PCAN-Developer package.
