I've connected a PCAN-USB device to a PCAN Router Pro via CAN. However, in either PCAN-Flash or PPCAN-Editor, I get the following error/warning whenever I try to detect my device:
Detecting ...
Detecting finished !
[DETECT WARNING] None of the modules during the Detect found. // This only appears in PCAN-Flash program
I believe I have correct termination (two 120 ohm resistors), and I've tried both programming (0xF) and normal mode (0x0). I'm supplying 12 V and the leds are blinking red and green. I've connected the PCAN_USB to all four possible CAN channels, but no luck.
Any idea why I can't detect anything?
Thanks,
Nate
Unable to detect PCAN Router Pro
Re: Unable to detect PCAN Router Pro
Hi there.
Everything correct so far.
Remark:
PCANflash ("programming") works -only on port #1- of our devices,
PPCAN Editor ("configuring") works -on any port- of our devices.
Now:
Have you linked the program you're using to the PCAN-USB hardware ?
See statusbar lower left corner of the program.
Double-click there and you will get a list of available PEAK CAN interfaces
(at least 1 if your PCAN-USB is installed properly).
Select this hardware to be accessed by the program, choose 500kbit/s.
Then DETECT again...

Re: Unable to detect PCAN Router Pro
Yes, I had linked my program to my PCAN-USB device.
I ended up using port #1 with PcanFlash and now I've detected my hardware. I thought I had tried that before but perhaps not. My fault.
Thanks for your help!
