Custom firmware under Linux and serial port

Post by _nlc_ » Sat 9. Feb 2019, 20:30

Hello,
We are looking for a 4 ports CAN bus router and your product seems perfect for us because we need to implement our own firmware.

You provide gcc tools to build firmware, but these tools are for Windows, can you also provide the gcc toolchain for Linux OS ?

Also, we seen in the documentation there are some extension headers on the mother board. Is there somewhere a free serial port (USART) available ? TTL or LVTTL level it's not a problem for us.

Regards,
Cyril HAENEL

Hello.

No,
gcc for Linux must be gotten from the web.

Regarding RS232,
we had forseen such (U24, J8) in the layout,
but none of the necessary parts is populated.
Also the C-API does not support it...
