Hi everyone,
i'm currently using PLIN View Pro (1.1.4.44) application, as a master on the LIN bus. The application drives the PEAK PCAN-USB Pro hardware interface.
When transmitting a frame on the LIN bus i receive the correct answer from the slave, which is displayed on the "Receive" window.
The signals are displayed in hexa format.
I have 2 small questions:
- Is there a way to display the signals in decimal?
- could it be possible to have operations between different received signal data? for example, group 3 bytes into a 32 bits word.
Note: this seems to be possible with the PCAN View Pro tool, but i didn't see the equivalent feature with PLIN View Pro.
Thanks in advance for any advices.
Regards,
Michel
Data format with PLIN View Pro
Re: Data format with PLIN View Pro
Hello,
when you load a ldf file in PLIN-View Pro which has the symbolic signals for your LIN bus system included, you will see the data in decimal, or even with factors multiplied, as defined in the ldf file (similar to dbc in a CAN system).
PLIN-View Pro does not offer a macro interface to calculate new signals out of the given data. But you can use the PLinApi.dll and build an own application, to be able to perform operations between different signal data.

Michael
