Monitoring CAN messages using PCAN-PCI express

Greetings,

I am using the PCAN-PCI Express board to try to monitor signals generated by another can bus. I have soldered an additional drop in the CAN bus and attached it to channel 1 of the PCAN PCI Express bus. I can see the signals properly on the O-Scope on the correct pins, but the PCAN View software shows no message traffic. The bus is properly terminated. Are there any other items that might preclude reception of messages?

Hi,

is your CAN cable terminated with two 120 Ohms resistors on both ends? Do you see an error in the status bar of PCAN-View? Which baudrate do you use?
