MicroMod Configuration - Hardware Connection

Hi,

I'm using the PCAN MicroMod Configuration tool and attempting to connect to the board via a PCAN USB. When I go to select the PCAN USB under Configuration, Options, Net Select there is only a single Internal Net option. I would like to have the Hardware tab in place of the Net Select but the Net Select option is automatically appearing. I do not have the PCAN Net Configuration software installed with the only other software I have on the unit being PCAN USB view. I simply need to change the baud rate of the bus to 500k to reprogram the unit once to 1Mbit and then I'll be fine with 1Mbit. Thanks!

Hi,

when you only see the net select option in PCAN-MicroMod Config tool, the setup of that software detected a canapi2 interface on your system. To restore this to the hardware select option, please rename the PCAN_System.dll to PCAN_System.dll.old under c:\Program Files\PCAN-MicroMod 2\ and restart PCAN-MicroModConfig again

regards

Michael

Hi Michael,

I attempted that and the Hardware tab did not appear.

Hi,

please search your whole system for that pcan_system.dll, on some systems you will find that dll in the Windows\system32 or Windows\syswow64 directory too.

regards

Michael

I was able to find another PCAN_System under the syswow64 directory and am now able to reach the hardware tab. Thank you for your assistance!
