PCAN-LIN CT tool programming problem

Good morning everyone . We recently bought a PCAN-LIN adapter for our project purposes.

First time : i have programmed the Pcan-lin adapter to send a lin signal to slave for every 50sec. after a restart the master did the same.

Second time : I want to reprogram to send every 10 milli second. Although i have programmed the master successfully , the master send the signal every 50 sec.

Is it kind of some end loop problem ? Can someone explain how could i rectify it ?

Hi,

the PCAN-LIN CT software configures the PCAN-LIN to the values you have set in the profile. To check your configuration, please have a look on the "Data present in module" tab, to see if the current configuration was set into the module. Please note, that you can store the config in the ram or into the flash of the module. When you set it into ram only, with the next reboot of the PCAN-LIN, the configuration will be on the flash based config again. You will be asked where to store the config, when you send the configuration to the module.

Hallo Mr.Michael,

Thanks for your reply. you are right after pressing the Send button in Profiles management tab the following thing happended

1)The window prompted me to press yes for programming. after pressing yes
2) window shows successfully programmed and then
3) Old setting to copy in the module . This time i have poressed no. But i don't understand why the tool asks to save the copy in the module.

Hi,

PCAN-LIN asks you if you like to save the current profile (the one you have send) in flash. When you press no, the config will only be in the ram, and only valid until you reset the module again.
