PCAN Express Card

I have a PCAN Express Card which I usually use with a laptop. However, I recently tried to use it with a desktop using an ExpressCard to USB converter. This didn't appear to work, even though the green light on the converter indicated that the card had been detected. Has anybody else managed to do this sucessfully?

I think this will not work with the PCAN-Express card, because those USB adapters will only work with Express cards which are using the USB connection of the Express card interface, the PCAN-Express card is a real PCI-Express system, so you can't tunnel that through USB.

In the manual of those ExpressCard to USB converter you should have an info that those adapters will only work with USB based Express cards.

The adapter was very cheap, and did not come with a manual.

I have now ordered a PCAN-USB interface so that I can use my desktop pc as well as my laptop.
