PCAN USB with PCAN-Explorer 6

Does the PCAN-USB adapter (IPEH-002021/IPEH-002022) support CANFD with PCAN-Explorer 6, or is different hardware needed? If not, is there a firmware update to the PCAN-USB to provide CANFD compatibility?

Hi,

the PCAN-USB IPEH-002021/2022 can only handle CAN 2.0a/b. For CAN FD you need a different hardware, which supports the FD option: PCAN-USB-FD IPEH-004022, PCAN-USB-Pro FD IPEH-004061 or the PCAN-PCIe FD cards.
