PCI CAN bus with IXXAT CAN BUS Replacement

Post by arifahmadpk » Sun 18. Aug 2019, 11:50

Hi,
i am first time using the PCAN. Can we replace the IXXAT PCI CAN bus Card with Peak PCI CAN bus Card? we have one SCADA/HMI System which developed by cigarette machine manufacturer (HAUNI) and they used IXXAT PCI CAN Bus card into PC. we have not source code file of that SCADA/HMI Program. but we have runtime exe file. So we want to make another copy of that system and used the Peak PCI CAN bus Card except of IXXAT PCI CAN bus Card. Waiting for your prompt response.

Hello,

do you work under Linux or Windows? If you work under Linux, do you use the SocketCAN interface?

Hi,

to change the CAN interface of a Windows application, you have to change the CAN library in the application. This will only be possible if you have access to the source code of the application.
