.ltrc viewer

Post by bendzo » Tue 24. Sep 2019, 14:50

Hello,
A customer has sent me .ltrc file, none of the applications (PCAN-View, PLIN-View, PlotView) seems to be able to view, plot or replay the file. Is there any special SW or procedure to do that?
We have multiple PCAN - CAN devices, only one with LIN, but I should be able to access it if needed.
Thank you!
Jacob

Hi,

a LIN trace file (*.ltrc) is just a text file which shows the trace of a LIN communication and which can be displayed with any text editor. You can download the specification for the *ltrc format from our support website:

http://www.peak-system.com/produktcd/Pd ... Format.pdf

At the moment there exists no special tools to plot or symbolize such a LIN trace file. If you have a PCAN-Explorer 6, you can modify the file with notepad++ to convert it to a CAN trace file (remove some LIN specific columns), and use the plotter of PCAN-Explorer to display the data.

regards

Michael
