Hi,
I wanted to flash my brand new PCAN-RS-232 with an example firmware. So I connected the Boot CAN with Ub and copied the PcanFlash folder to my harddisk. I started Pcan2.cpl, saw my PCAN-USB, started NetCfg32.exe, added the FlashNet with 500kBit/s and opened PcanFlash.exe. Selected my bin-file and wanted to connect to my FlasNet. But I can't see it in the list (after I clicked on the yellow flash). It just says: Available nets: none
So what went wrong?
I hope you can help me. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: It seems that the Flash Tool doesn't work with Windows 7. I've tested it on a Win XP and it works there.
No Nets available in the PCAN Flash Tool
Re: No Nets available in the PCAN Flash Tool
Hi,
please start the pcan2.cpl with administrator rights under Windows 7 (right mouse click), select USB and press the OK button.
best regards
Michael

Nothing happens if I want to start it with administrator privileges. Windows just ask me, if I want to - I say yes and thats it.

Re: No Nets available in the PCAN Flash Tool
Are you sure that the canapi2.dll, which need the pcan2.cpl to start, is available on your system?
You wrote in your first post that you found the PCAn-USB with the PCAN2.CPL - and now you did not found it again? Copy all files to your PC (local directory) start the PCAN2.cpl, select USB as aktive Device, end CPL, start NetCfg, select USB and add a new Net, save it. Start PCAN-Flash and select the Net that you have add to the USB CAN Interface. All steps need to be done as Admin.

No you misunderstood. I can run the PCAN2.CPL as user, but not as admin.
