As you can see, the time offset is definitely not milliseconds since the start:
Code: Select all

Hi,
please provide some more details:
- which PCAN-USB Version (serial number) is in use?
- which firmware version?
- which driver version?
- please disconnect the PCAN-USB device, restart Windows, and connect it again.
regards
Michael

It's a PCAN-USB Pro FD
SN: IPEH-004061 13480
Driver: PCAN_USB 4.2.2.16474
Firmware: 3.2.0
It shows the bad timestamps in the Trace tab.
I was able to reproduce it until I restarted the computer. Restarting the computer seems to have resolved the issue.
Is this a known issue? I need to hand of a set of work instructions to our technicians, and if restarting the PC after installing the driver will make it reliable, I'll do that.
Thanks!

Hi,
all used files are ok. The timestamps in our drivers are based on the PerformanceCounter of Windows. So if this internal Windows timer will provide such a strange timestamp value, it will also be available in our driver. We have seen this only a few times before, but we are not sure how this happens. This could be an issue based on Windows updates where a necessary reboot was not performed. If this will happen again, please contact us again by email through our support email address to check your system and to find out what causes the problem.
regards
Michael

Good day! I have the same problem with displaying the time. Why does it always start with 429496 ?

Hello,
Is this behavior replicable after a reboot
of the machine?
(Windows Start -> Restart)
Please let us know.
Best Regards
Marvin

Restarting the computer does not help! In the date and time settings, I turned off the automatic update of the time zone, after which the time began to work correctly, but after that in the trace window it sees only its own data, but it does not see external data in the receive window!

After the physical disconnection from the USB, everything worked as it should!

Hello,
Thank you for your feedback.
In case this behavior is replicable again:
Can you retrace the steps you took until this behavior manifested?
Does your PC/LAPTOP go into sleep/Stand-by?
Is this a VM instance?
Best Regards
marvin

Returned all computer settings to their original position, but the program has not changed, the time is displayed correctly. In trace mode, the external signal (X) starts with a delay of 15 seconds. If you exit the PCAN-view program and reload it, then the external signal (RX) does not work at all! you have to reload the driver.
