Is Plotter Add-in needed for trc playback within Explorer?

I have a dbc file, and I'd like to design a simple Panel (leds , gauges, etc) in PCAN-Explorer , that can decode real-time can-bus traffic as well as playback previously captured .trc files. Is this functionality included in the base PCAN-Explorer product?

I couldn't find anything in the documentation that describes the above. For example, the tutorial video "Tracer 1: Recording and Playback" does not show playback of a trc file in a panel designed in PCAN-Explorer .

Is the Plotter add-on needed? If not, does the Plotter just a new "Instrument" for the Panel? i.e. You can drag a Plotter widget into the panel, assign it to a signal, so that the signal is shown on a graph?

The Plotter AddIn is completely independent from the User Panel - see product description.
Playback of loaded Trace file also have nothing to do with Plotter / User Panel . It is part of the main Product.
You could remotely control the Tracer via script, and so also could do this from the user panel (execute command).
