The transceiver (PCA82651) went out on one of my 2021's so I have to replace it... I was thinking about upgrading from the NXP-PCA82651 to their TJA1040 or TJA1050, as described in their Upgrade Application Note. Has anyone tried this or know of a reason this isn't a good idea? Does the 2021 require a "Standby Mode"?
The only reason I'm even contemplating an upgrade is we have one manufacturer whos units we have more trouble communicating with than the others... I also know, or have heard, that the 82651 has that reputation for interference issues with some busses and as a result is on some manufacturers "blacklist". So, I thought it might be worth a shot.
Would love to hear your thoughts and recommendations.

Re: Transceiver Upgrade?
We use SJA1000 CAN Controller with a PCA82C251 Transceiver in the Devices.
If you want to re-new the CAN Transceiver - please use the same one (PCA82C251)
Others are not supported from our side and we could not guaranty if, after replaced with a compatible chip, all works as expected.
