Hello There. First time blogging here.
Currently working on a project where we use PCAN View installed on a PC and PCAN-USB tool to sniff Telemetry data on vehicles.
We can sniff whole CAN data with 250 kbit/s on the European vehicles (Scania, Mercedes), the FMS standard evolved from J1939 standard. On certain particular models, I have observed that while we are able to get complete CAN data when unchecking Listen-only modegeometry dash subzero, we are only able to retrieve a single stream of data (eg tachograph) when checking Listen-only mode. I simply want to receive; I am not attempting to send any messages.
Thus, my query is: Does the sniffer transmit any signals to activate the truck's CAN interface thereby enabling complete CAN data output? If so, what message this conveys?
I value your assist in this.

Hello,
No, it will not by default.
You will have to trigger this message manually and we don't know how that message
is supposed to look like, you'll have to ask the community or the manufacturer for this.
Sorry!
