We now have made available Kickdrive Zero, a Freeware tool that has been successfully tested with PEAK PCAN-USB. (Thanks for the great support from Gunther Lang and U.Wilhelm.).
NOTE: To work with PCAN-USB hardware, you need to go to the CAN Interface panel and change the Communication Port from "(first found)" to peak.

We recently released http://www.kickdrive.de, a Windows configuration and testing software for CAN/CANopen networks, CAN/CANopen Position Drives and other motion-oriented applications in automation industry.
The full-featured software is a paid ride for now, but a trial with 30-minutes-restriction is available. We also have short-term plans to publish a stripped down version with core features for free use, no strings attached.
It supports Peak PCAN products via the datalink.se API, but it has not been tested with PEAK hardware yet. Any help/feedback on trying this with PEAK PCAN hardware would be highly appreciated, and we would provide a free Kickdrive license in exchange. For using Kickdrive with PEAK hardware you need to go to the "CAN Interface" panel and change the "Communication Port" from "(first found)" to "peak". Or use "peak:0", "peak:1", ... if there are more than one CAN channels available.
