I can not get a multi-packet PGN to breakout the fields. I have tried every setting to see if I could get a change, but I am not having any luck. I am working with a NMEA 2000 CAN Bus and I have 2 PGNs that are multi-packet. I build the Symbol file and when I display Receive/Transmit I only get the first eight bytes of the PGN. My other fields are blank. I have also noticed, the fields that breakout are erratic. One more thing that does not seem right is the PGN has 8 displayed for DLC on the Receive/Transmit Screen.
I can breakout 11 PGNs with the NMEA 2000 Symbol File I created. It is just the two multi-packet PGNs that has me stopped dead in my tracks. Can someone help me with this?

Re: Multipacket PGN
Hi,
which version of PCAN-Explorer 5 (build version) do you use? Do you have the J1939 Add-In available in your licence?

Michael

Re: Multipacket PGN
Hi Garry,
thanks for the info. Did you configure the connection as a J1939 connection in PCAN-Explorer? Maybe it will be helpfull to send us a short trace file of your CAN bus to our support email address, and show the problem with some screenshots, to understand your problem better.
