Support for multiple cards

Post by mvdhorst » Thu 23. May 2013, 09:21

Is there support for multiple cards in one PC?
We would like to put 6 CAN PCI-e cards in one PC to communicate to 24 CAN busses, is this possible?

We could handle up to 16 CAN Channels for PCI based cards at the same time on a Windows PC. For example four 4 Channel PCI CAN cards, or eight 2 Channel cards. With the free available PCAN-Basic API you could use max. 8 CAN PCI Channels for own Applications. If you want to use all 16 CAN PCI Channels you need the PCAN-Developer Version. Most of our customer which want to use more than 8 Channesl use PCAN-Router Pro units to "multiplex" the CAN Bus. (for an end of line test for example) So one PC CAN Channel could end up in 3 real CAN Channels. With eight CAN Channels you could so handle up to 24 CAN Channels.
