Hi,

please send some more details. Please send an email to our support email address with the following info:

- PCAN-USB serialnumber
- is the LED on the PCAN-USB off or on?
- which driver version is used
- what does the device manager show about CAN hardware
- what does "doesn´t work with Win7" mean?
- do you use an own software or will even PCAN-View not work

regards

Michael

Hi,

please search for pcan_usb.dll and canapi2.dll on your system, and tell me the version of those dll files.

Michael

Hi,

canapi2.dll version V2.56.2 is ok, when you use a 64bit system, please take care to have this 32bit dll in windows\syswow64 only, and not in windows\system32.

Contact the manufacturer E+L and ask if their software is ready for Windows 7 (32/64bit)

Hi Michael

I have the same problem, but I dont have the option in the control panel of setting active device to "USB".

- Laptop: Win7 Enterpries SP1, 64Bit
- PCAN- 00202200163
- Drriver Version 3.13.00.15462
- Drivers: WdfCoInstaller01009.dll PCAN_USB.SYS
- Both drivers are in C:/Windows/system32 and C:/Windows/system32/DRIVERS respectively
Looking into the system32 folder I found a WdfCoInstaller01.001_64.dll but non canapi2.dll

Hopfully you can help me
Regards Benjamin
