Re: Bus goes to "off" state

Hi, a busoff means that the CAN-Controller detects a physical problem on the CAN during transmission. This can also happen when you send the same CAN ID from different nodes. Then the arbitration will not work and the frame data will cause a collision on the CAN. It could also be an EMC problem on y...

Re: Write problem with miniPCIe FD on Linux

Hi, this could be an IRQ problem on that system, which could be fixed by switching to MSI instead of using INT A for the interrupt management. To use MSI for our PCAN miniPCIe FD cards, you have to install our latest peak-linux-driver in SocketCAN mode and edit the pcan.conf to enable MSI: Download ...

Re: PCAN Explorer Upgrading. Ver 5 - Ver 6 - Ver7

Hi, there are upgrade prices available when you upgrade from version 5 to 6 depending on when you have purchased your PCAN-Exploer 5 license. Contact your local sales partner with your license ID of your PCAN-Explorer 5 license to get more information. When there will be a version 7 available in the...

Re: PLIN - wake up

Hello, to use the wakeup functionality you have to configure the PLIN device in slave mode. Then you could use the LIN_XmtWakeUp() to send a pulse on the LIN lines to wake up a connected LIN master device. The bus sleep timeout is given by the LIN spec and could not be changed, however you can send ...

Re: Reading Raspi's canbus data by Using Pcan-usb on desktop.

Hi,

looks like a bitrate missmatch. Please try a bitrate with a different sample point and a higher SJW in PCAN-View. As a test, please measure the real bitiming of your RPI with a scope. As a workaround, you can also use the PCAN-USB on the RPI.

Re: Importing trc file in Plotter

Hi,

typical reasons are:
- no symbol file loaded
- symbol file loaded which does not match to the given data.
- busnumer of the connection does not fit to the busnumber used in the trace

Re: How to redirect data between two different CAN buses

Hello, in PCAN-Explorer 6 only one macro can be active per instance. As a workaround you can start another instance of PCAN-Explorer and connect it to the same PCAN networks to run another macro, or merge both VBS macro in just one macro. We also offer hardware solutions for such routing application...
