Batch export multiple TRC files to CSV

Post by ReneHY » Mon 27. Jun 2016, 15:01

Hello,

I regularly need to export a large amount of trace files to CSV. This takes a lot of time (days) because I have to click export or CTRL+E, select all signals, click OK, wait for the export to finish, and export the next file :geek:.

Question: is it possible to do this automatically? E.g. select multiple files and batch export all of them? This seems like a task much better suited for a machine than a human. It will save me days of work.

Requirement: the output CSV must not have a header, and must have two columns for each signal; one for the time column and the other for the signal data. (--> output must be identical as when I export the files manually).

I have tried using PEAK converter 2, but I did not succeed to get the desired output CSV because it seems not to be possible to apply a symbol file in PEAK converter.

I'm using PCAN Explorer v5.4.0.877.

Thanks and regards,
Rene

Hello Rene,

the export functionality could not be automated in PCAN-Explorer 5, due to the manual selection of signals etc.

regards

Michael
