Hi,
This is a student from Hanyang University in Korea. I purchased PCAN-Ethernet Gateway DR and I am trying to transmit CAN messages through LAN2CAN route for my project. I connected my PC1(192.168.0.1) to PCAN-Gateway(192.168.0.2) and I connected PCAN-Gateway to another computer PC2 through Vector. And I was hoping that I can receive CAN messages sent from PC1 in CANoe installed in PC2
I set up LAN2CAN route in the website interface, but it keeps showing there is problem, the light is always yellow,
And then I tried to send message in software SerialPortMon in PC1, but I can’t receive any message in CANoe in PC2.
I wonder whether the problem is my connecting way or I should change to use PCAN-View to transmit CAN messages. Furthermore, if I need to use PCAN-View, do I need to install Virtual PCAN-Gateway, too?
Thank you so much for your time and I would really appreciate it if you could reply to me at your earliest convenience.
Regards.

Re: LAN2CAN ROUTE DOESN'T WORK
Dear,
The routes are used to establish connection between Gateways and their CAN channels. The LAN communication is actually between Gateways, so you need at least two PCAN-Ethernet devices. Please check the help and these videos to obtain a better idea of what routes do.
If you only have one PCAN-Ethernet Gateway, then you need to use the Virtual Gateway (check the video) as second device. You can then use PCAN-View, PCAN-Explorer for receiving/sending data, or you can develop your own application by using PCAN-Basic or PCAN-Developer 4.
