[solved] Missing bus information in transmit list

Post by rbmisc » Wed 9. May 2012, 15:26

Each time I start PCAN - Explorer 5 I get messages in the Output window that my xmt messages are missing bus information in transmit list. I have gone to each xmt messages, selected edit message and then from the drop down list for Bus reselect the bus number. I press OK and the xmt indicates a change by *. I save this message, but this doesn't appear to fix the problem.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

do you use several connections in your project? When you load a transmit list which does not contain a bus column, you will always be asked to select the bus for those messages. When you save the transmit list with this information, PCAN-Explorer 5 will never ask again.

Which version of PCAN-Explorer do you use at the moment?

regards

Michael

I only have 1 bus and I have saved the transmit messages several times but the bus assignment is not being saved with the message. Version 5.1.1.658

Hi,

as a first step, please update to the latest version 5.2.2, see news feed in your PCAN-Explorer startpage for downloadlink to the latest setup.

I have updated to the latest and the first time opening it, I get the same message. So I tried editing 2 of the transmit messages and saved them. Closed the program and restarted. It is still doing the same thing.

Hi,

unfortunately we are not able to reproduce your problem. Please send your complete project and the XMT-file to support@peak-system.com. Which build-version of the PCAN-Explorer do you use?
