Hi,
when you use linear buffer, the traces stops after 100000 messages, when you use ring buffering, the tracer will work normally until 100% buffer fill size, than it will remove the older messages, and will keep the newest messages only. This is working here with the same PCAN-View version ...

only CAN must be terminated on both ends of the bus (=cables), so please don´t terminate the USB cable

yes, please insert termination resisitors on both ends of your cable. This is necessary to let the CAN bus work!

leider wird das nicht funktionieren. Ein PCAN-Dongle benoetigt die echten I/O read/write Leitungen des Ports, die weder ein USB noch ein PCI Interface bieten koennen. Nur der Betrieb an einer 16Bit PCcard mit Parallelport koennte eventuell funktionieren.

Hi,
looks like your PCAN-USB have a firnware <0.7, these old firmware versions from 2002/2003 will not work with the latest Windows 7 drivers (3.x). A firmwareupdate will be necessary than.
